The Vision on the Spatial Quality of the highway network in the east of the Netherlands provides a coherent representation of the characteristics and qualities of the A- and N-roads. And offers concrete tools to maintain or strengthen these. The vision provides direction for further elaboration in construction, maintenance and renovation projects. And identifies concrete opportunities with regard to sustainability measures for example. The vision relates to all roads managed by Rijkswaterstaat within Gelderland, Overijssel and a small part of Drenthe. In total about 700 kilometers of road length.
