On February 21st the Heritage Deal has been signed. During the event we presented our project ‘Weerbaar Weert’ (resilient city of Weert) to the minister of Education, Science and Culture Ms. Ingrid van Engelshoven. Within the project we took the history of the city as a starting point for developing an integral vision on site specific climate adaptation interventions.
The Heritage Deal aims to support projects that take cultural heritage as a primary condition for dealing with future spatial challenges such as energy transition and climate change. The deal includes a funding of 40 million euros in total and is supported by several governmental and non-governmental institutions and agencies.
‘Weerbaar Weert’ is a project of NOHNIK architecture and landscapes, Personal Architecture and Lara Voerman. To learn more about the project, please visit our website.
