In collaboration with the province of Flevoland and Antea Group, NOHNIK works on a regional landscape vision for the province of Flevoland. The polder landscape of Flevoland is a renowned icon of Dutch water engineering, landscape architecture and urban design. Despite the fact that the polders are only a few decades old, the landscape is slowly changing. These dynamics are caused by transition such as modernisation of agriculture, urban expansions, new infrastructure and the energy transition. How could the specific and unique characteristics of this polder landscape be conserved and enriched in future when dealing with these dynamics? To answer this question the province develops a regional vision on landscape and spatial quality, in close collaboration with stakeholders, inhabitants and municipalities in the province.
